Welcome to the official website of the 9th Provincial Chapter of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno. Guided by the theme, “Onward Together in Gratitude, Fidelity and Hope,” we gather in prayerful reflection, shared mission, and renewed commitment to our Augustinian Recollect identity. This Chapter marks a sacred moment of discernment and unity as we journey forward—grateful for the past, faithful in the present, and hopeful for the future. Together, we seek God’s will for our Province and communities.

The Logo & Motto

The ENTIRE LOGO is intentionally tilted to the right, evoking a sense of forward or onward movement and representing the progressive spirit that marks this 9th Provincial Chapter whose motto is: “Onward together in gratitude, fidelity, and hope.”

The THREE STYLIZED HUMAN FIGURES symbolizing gratitude (yellow), fidelity (blue), and hope (green) indicate communion and solidarity in life’s journey. They also correspond implicitly to the temporal dimensions of past, present, and future of the Province of St. Moreno which has just completed the silver years of its life and mission.

The leftmost human figure, shaped as NUMERAL “9,” represents the ordinal significance of the forthcoming Provincial Chapter. It also depicts a person gazing backward reflecting on the lessons of the past and adopting the stance of gratitude for the gift of 25 years and counting.

The middle human figure, representing fidelity, has its right foot longer than its left reassuring that, despite its resilience to the challenging and changing winds of the present, it remains steadfast and unwavering in its charismatic identity and commitments as an Augustinian Recollect.

The rightmost human figure, representing hope, embodies the posture of a missionary disciple, always ready and willing to take up the cross and face the unknown “with an open spirit, a trusting heart and a far-sighted vision” (Pope Francis). This message of hope is linked to that of the 2025 Jubilee with its theme, “Pilgrims of Hope.”

At the center of the logo is a HEART, the symbol for charity so dear to those following the Augustinian teachings and tradition. It is distended so as to capture its innate capacity to unite the three human figures, the three core values, and the times they correspond to.

On the lower left side of the heart is a SCAR or PIERCING MARK calling to mind both the action of God’s arrow of love piercing our hearts (cf. St. Augustine’s Confessions 9.2) as well as the weight of our frailty and fragility which are healed and overcome by the Spirit’s power, inflaming and leading us upwards (cf. Confessions 13.10).

The GREY WAVES at the bottom of the heart signify the turbulent waters of the world as we take our pilgrimage back to the Father. Yet, as missionaries, we sail through these waves with courage and trust in God’s mercy so that we can go where the Church sends us and where the Church needs us.

Balik Tanaw (Official Theme Song)

The lyrics and music of the theme song written in Tagalog were credited to Fray Giovanni Gil Magbojos, OAR, who is currently the Director/Principal of the Sacred Heart School of Alfonso-Recoletos in Alfonso, Cavite. The Huni Habagat choir group of Cebu gave life to the song which was arranged by Mr. Jordan Verdida. This is so far the third music video innovatively introduced by the Province as part of its preparation for the convocation of a provincial chapter. The first was launched in 2017, with the theme song, “Sharing our Vision”; then, in 2021, with the theme song, “Our Greatest Dream.” A provincial chapter is an assembly of religious at the end of a three- or four-year term.

With grateful hearts, steadfast fidelity, and hopeful spirits, may our brothers journey onward together—united in love and purpose. We entrust this Chapter to the care of Our Lady and St. Ezekiel, praying that God’s will may be faithfully discerned and joyfully embraced.
